Description
As the queen of ski mountaineering competition shoes, the Race Pro combines all the features of the Race 400 with the addition of the tensioning system. It’s designed for one goal: the podium!
Weight: 500g with liner in size 26.
Tensioning and Locking
The locking system for downhill mode in the Race Pro is based on a lever and is coupled with the tensioning system. The tensioning system is connected to the ILS fastening, which automatically tightens the instep when switching to downhill mode. Once the adjustment of the tibial fastening is done, you won’t need to modify it anymore, and it will always be ready for your competitions.
Range of motion
In addition to its lightweight construction, the true strength of the Race Pro is the freedom of movement it provides for the ankle, allowing you to launch your foot even further without resistance.
Features
The Race sole is as light as possible, compliant with the ISMF regulations. The optimal spacing of the crampons ensures good grip on all surfaces. It is directly molded onto the carbon shell for maximum traction.
Race Sole
Made in France, this removable liner is thermoformable. It provides comfort and warmth. The toe box is spacious for enhanced insulation. Split into two parts, it allows for maximum ankle movement.
Liner
The ILS lacing system, specially developed by us for carbon shoes, has already proven itself on our ski mountaineering boots. Its design provides a firm and precise foothold. The adaptability of the lacing system to the foot’s morphology offers great comfort. ILS (Internal Lacing System)
ILS
Nothing compares to low-tech bindings when it comes to ski touring. Therefore, all our shoes are low-tech compatible. The front insert of Gignoux shoes has a bevel that aids in stepping in, while the rear insert is designed to accommodate the majority of semi-automatic crampons.
Inserts
Each piece is made from ultra-high-performance carbon in our workshop in France. Special care is taken in the placement of different fiber layers to optimize weight, strength, and rigidity ratios.
Carbon
Discover the asymmetrical cuff
Our cuffs are now asymmetrical. Ergonomic and perfectly contoured to the skier’s leg, they assist in ski control. Particularly useful during long traverses, this new shape supports the calf without compression.

To ensure that weight is never a limitation, we have designed a 100% carbon shoe, the lightest in the world.
