Range of motion
Beyond its lightness, one of the strengths of the Black is the freedom of movement it allows for the ankle, enabling you to extend your foot further without resistance.
A total range of motion of 108°.
Liner customization
Adapt your Black to your activity by choosing between two liner models: the Black and the Race.
If needed, you can also choose a slightly larger shell and a liner adjusted to minimize friction on your heels.
If you plan to use the Black for training and some competitions, opt for the Race liner with its collar foam. It reduces friction and lightens the shoe.
If your practice is more oriented towards touring or light touring, then the Black liner is what you need. It enhances comfort and warmth, and you can also add an insole.
Gaiter
One of the major advantages of the Black is its gaiter, which allows skiing in all snow conditions while keeping your feet dry.
Black sole
The Black sole enables you to approach any terrain. It is over molded onto the carbon shell to prevent detachment.
ILS lacing.
Ergonomic fit.
The ILS lacing system, specially developed by us for carbon shoes, has already proven itself on our ski mountaineering boots. Its design provides a firm and precise foothold. The adaptability of the lacing system to the foot’s morphology offers great comfort. ILS (Internal Lacing System)
Insert Low-Tech
Nothing compares to low-tech bindings when it comes to ski touring. Therefore, all our shoes are low-tech compatible. The front insert of Gignoux shoes has a bevel that aids in stepping in, while the rear insert is designed to accommodate the majority of semi-automatic crampons.
Moulage Carbone
Each piece is made from ultra-high-performance carbon in our workshop in France. Special care is taken in the placement of different fiber layers to optimize weight, strength, and rigidity ratios.
